More Than a Dance Company
CLDC was founded in 2001, in Charlotte, NC to satisfy the desire of Latin American children and their families who expressed an interest in preserving their Hispanic heritage of traditional music and dances, as well as to share this heritage with others.
The Carolina’s Latin Dance Company is a non-profit organization that uses the most authentic representation of Latin American folkloric dance to promote cultural acceptance and understanding.

Our first goal is to teach our dancers about cultural acceptance and understanding by learning dances from different countries.
Gain Confidence, Skills, and Knowledge
Our second major goal is to help our dancers gain confidence, improve their posture, and how they carry themselves, in preparation for a theater performance at the end of the season.
Perform On A Blumenthal Stage
Our season culminates with a stunning theater performance in Charlotte, NC. Authenticity is the most important part of what we present at our yearly show, “Dancing Through Latin America”.
